Deep Style Transfer
Deep style transfers use a deep neural network to borrow stylistic elements from one image and apply them to the composition of another. With this technique, I can take photographs of paint and apply them to 3d renders or photographs of people and create the illusion of painted illustrations. The technology isn't perfect, but it creates some compelling images. I use it to apply painterly effects to my illustrations after I have rendered them in Daz Studio and drawn on them by hand in Photoshop.
Deep style transfer is not AI generated art made by typing prompts. It's older technology and requires me to render and paint the art myself first.

The above images were made from a photograph of Mahafsoun. The style used is taken from a painting by Gustav Klimt. Click them. If you extract the frames of a video and perform a deep style transfer on each frame, you get a result that looks something like a drawn/painted animation. Here's a short animation of a scene from The Fountain.
I'll leave you with this final assortment of my deep style transfers. Click them.
